Greg’s place in the colonial zone as well as the service level are terrific. The apartment is renovated beautifully and in a great location, quiet street but a short walk to the center of colonial zone and one block from the malecon (ocean), The rooftop deck is fantastic and very large with bar\couches and chairs with great view of the water. There is backup power system, the a/c works very well, washer\dryer in unit, high end water filtration system and the wi-fi was flawless. With a staffed office person (carolina) right downstairs able to respond to any questions or problems, is also great. The beds are extraordinarily comfortable, king size in main bedroom and I believe queen in the 2nd, and certainly better than one would find in most hotels. I appreciated also the high end blender so I could make my morning protein shake with ice. If you are planning a stay in Santo Domingo I would highly recommend this apartment.

Greg’s place was truly incredible. The house is gorgeous, especially the bathrooms. They did a great job of preserving the architecture of the Zona. The only thing I might recommend is a lockbox for the keys or an electric lock. It was very clean. There were plenty of towels. The location was perfect: in the Zona Colonial, but on a quiet street. The kitchen was fully equipped. The roof terrace is extraordinary. Carolina was super helpful and both she and Greg were quick to reply to any question I had. I will definitely book again if I go back to Santo Domingo.

I loved the condo because of the space. You can relax in your room or stroll on the terrace and enjoy the view of the ocean. The wi-fi was perfect and the location was central.

10/10 experience. The communication and check-in were flawless. The best way I can describe the experience is that it was the best of Santo Domingo-architecture, views, location, warmth plus Silicon Valley level responsiveness, wifi, and outstanding customer experience from beginning to end. Highlights were breakfast on the terrace with views of the sea and dinner in the plaza with views of the oldest cathedral in the Americas. I stayed at another Airbnb in Santo Domingo and in this city…folks honk their horns, car alarms go off at any hour…but with the super thick walls, it was the best sleep during my time here.

Gregory’s spot was great. The pictures don’t give it justice. The rooftop is huge with amazing views. The interior has nice Spanish colonial style finishings. Greg is very accommodating and since I was busy was able to help with little requests from directing me to amazing restaurants to mid-day grocery delivery. I will definitely be visiting again.

Un appartement de charme er de confort deux belles chambres la literie de tres bonne qualité et salles de bains . Deux petits balcons sympa sur la rue. Le propriétaire tres agréable et serviable . Emplacement est top pour ce qui aime le calme un peu bruyant la chambre sur la rue le samedi soir. De plus on peut aller dans le centre ville a pied et autour sans voiture. This place is amazing! The pictures in the site make the place look great, but when you actually enter the house, you will definitely be blown away! Check in/out was very easy and communicating with the host was a breeze! I will definitely stay there again, and have recommended this place to my friends and family and YOU should stay there too! The bar is set high with this place! You won’t be disappointed! One word: ROOFTOP

I booked Greg’s place at a time when it didn’t yet have any reviews, so I was taking a gamble. I wanted a place in Zona Colonial with rock solid Internet since I was coming to DR on a kind of working vacation. Greg’s place was perfect for my needs. First off, the wifi. I have stayed in many AirBNBs over the years, and they always have cheap and unreliable wifi. Greg has deployed five (!!) Ubiquiti wireless access points, the gold standard in commercial wifi deloyments. The same APs I put in my own apartment. Signal is great everywhere in the apartment, including on the terrace. He has two redundant internet providers, so connectivity is reliable even if there’s an outage. And there’s backup power so a power failure doesn’t take out your internet access. That alone is reason enough to stay here. But there’s also the terrace, a great space that is much larger and nicer than the photos suggest. The location is also great. If you haven’t traveled in developing countries much you might arrive and think “oh my god where am I??”, it looks a bit run down. But it’s actually a great location, close to the hot spots in Zona Colonial but not so close that you have to deal with traffic and parking nightmares on weekends. I found Uber to be reliable and incredibly cheap by American standards, so I didn’t bother renting a car, though there was always street parking during my stay so I could have easily. If you’re looking for a sanitized, hermetically sealed resort complex where everything is new and you never see any locals, this isn’t the place for you. If on the other hand you want to experience Santo Domingo and Zona Colonial up close and personal, while still having a nice place with reliable electricity and hot water and rock solid internet to retire to in the evenings, this is the place.

Greg’s place was the ultimate experience. The main living quarters were spacious, private, with each bedroom having its own beautifully stylistic bathroom. Two quaint balconies overlook the local neighborhood below. Not to be missed is the spiral staircase leading up to the rooftop deck, a complete floor including a covered bar and lounge with comfortable seating. We found ourselves spending hours viewing the ocean nearby while enjoying the cool breeze. The location was perfect with many nearby restaurants, coffee bars, and museums. Greg was an incredible host, eager to answer all of our questions and direct us to the more popular places. The neighborhood was safe for evening strolls. Will definitely be back.

Don’t hesitate to try out Greg’s place! We were the first host and it exceeded our expectations. We were looking for a quiet and confortable place close to all the nighlife of the Colonial Zone to spend the New Year and this is exactly what we found! Greg has done a great job with renovating the place and you’ll have a very large terasse for yourself to enjoy the sunrise and sunset every day! Close to small shops, restaurants, museum, bars, everything to see in the Colonial Zone. Plus Greg is really personable and ready to help you out. He likes hosting and knows the DR well.
